Chaos to calm free hoarding support group

Chaos to Calm - free hoarding support group

The Chaos to Calm hoarding support group, based in Chesham, was launched on 1st February 2023 and has been growing steadily ever since. Jaime Frow, a hoarding specialist, recognised the need for an in-person support group in the local community. After collaborating with The Oasis Partnership until 2025 then Bucks Fire Service from 2026, Jaime created a safe, supportive, and non-judgmental space that is accessible to all. The mission was to build a community where individuals living with hoarding behaviours, as well as those around them, can come together, share their experiences, and overcome the isolation and shame often associated with this mental health condition. The group contines to expand and is a well used service to date.

Jaime is a Professional Organiser specialising in hoarding and chronic disorganisation. Since founding Thoughtfully Organised Homes in 2019, she has gained extensive experience and training, and is passionate about improving the lives of those affected by hoarding behaviours and chronic disorganisation.

The Chaos to Calm group holds monthly meetings on the third Thursday of each month from 12:30 – 2:30 PM in Chesham. There is also a virtual meeting on the first Wednesday of every month from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Jaime and the group members are always eager to welcome new faces and offer a supportive network to those in need.

You don’t have to face these challenges alone. Jaime and the group are ready to welcome anyone who would like to join. For more information or to register, complete the contact form below or email Jaime at info@thoughtfullyorganisedhomes.co.uk

Chaos to Calm support group testimonial

“Without the ‘Chaos to Calm’ Support Groups, it is likely I would have continued sporadic attempts at starting to get on top of things, and also likely I would have kept stopping and failing.

With them, I began looking at my challenging circumstances differently – I felt the essence of my entire mind-set shift! Whilst old habits do die hard, new approaches have arisen.

This has come through: varied-conversation; acknowledgement & understanding of issues; comradery; learning of techniques; honest discussion; imparted inspiration; goal-setting & accountability; compassion; and ultimately APPLICATION.

I now live in much improved surroundings and in consequence experience a greatly enhanced existence.
I am far from finished – some set-backs but no failures – some breaks but no stops.

Attending the groups has helped me find things I didn’t know I’d lost, and given me things I didn’t believe could exist!”
